Frequently Asked Questions

How can I schedule an appointment with you?

The best way is scheduling a no cost consultation by filling out the form in my booking page in this website or email directly to julioferrertattoo@gmail.com. Please include your idea for the tattoo, approximate size, placement and your availability. After I receive your email I will contact you to setup a time to meet and go over the details of the project and to setup the appointment for the tattoo.

A non refundable $100 deposit is required to setup the tattoo appointment For small/medium tattoos. Larger Tattoos (sleeves, back pieces, legs) may require larger deposits and it is deducted from the last session of the project.

Please check my booking policies page for more specific info.

What is your design process like?

I strongly recommend to do a consultation either in person at the shop or through a zoom video call. That would get me started with the general ideas for the concept for your tattoo and it will give you a chance of asking any questions about the process. After going over all the details for the design we can set up a date for your appointment and a non refundable deposit would be necessary to do so.

Once we have figured out the concept and ideas for your tattoo the sketch would be put into my queue. I will send you the sketch/drawing the day before your tattoo appointment, that would give me enough time to make adjustments (if needed). If major changes on the idea or concept were to be made to the sketch a design fee would be applied. Please be as clear as you can with your ideas at the consultation.

Is there any kind of work you prefer to do?

I really enjoy doing neotraditional style and Japanese inspired work, also black work and illustrative tattoos are down my alley. Anything creative and original would have priority in my books.

How much do you charge?

My current hourly rate is $180. The amount of time a tattoo would take will vary depending on the size, style and detail of the project. Please notice that I always strive to do my best and great work takes time, mostly when it comes to highly detailed stuff.

Do you do walk-ins?

Due to the high amount of requests and ongoing projects I rarely do walk ins nowadays, the best way to know my available schedule is to email julioferrertattoo@gmail.com or call the shop at 916-573-3225.
