Biography:

Fuentetaja is born in Madrid the July 21, 1951. After attending the primary school, it begins to have an enormous tendency by the drawing. At 13 years he begins to work in publicity and he attends the School of Arts and Offices of Vallecas. At 14 years it travels to Switzerland and in Geneva it takes intense contact with the painting, and decides to dedicate it. To its return to Spain it enters in Fine Arts, and in the summer of 1966, he takes contact with Sitges, where it will return every year and later will fix its residence.

In Madrid it receives classes of Pedro Mozas in Fine Arts. In 1969 it begins to paint street pictures. In Sitges it creates, with other friends, a great pictorial atmosphere in the Paseo de la Ribera, in front of the sea, that todavia today subsists. He begins his trips by Europe and visit Paris, London and Amsterdam.

He makes friendship with Sidney Nagley in 1969, that organizes his first exhibition in Toronto, (Canada). Later he leaves their studies and begin to paint exclusively in their study. First exhibition in the Ateneo of Barcelona in 1970. He makes friendship with the criticize of Art of La Vanguardia, Fernando Gutierrez and the Count of Caralt orders to him illustrations for a new edition of the "Romancero Gitano" of Garcia Lorca.

During a stay in Madrid the consul Ponce of Leon provides a scholarship to him to study in the prestigious academy of Spain in Rome, to which it must resign by the military service. Days before entering in the army inaugurate in "Quatre Gats" of Palma de Mallorca the hyperrealistic work.

In the last years he has continued his peregrinate to many places of America and specially Asia . To its 50 years but of half given to the painting they happen of 100 its individual exhibitions. Its work is very appreciated and valued in the complex market of the art.
