Biography: Cuixart was born in Barcelona in 1925, founding one with Brossa, Ponç, Tàpies and Tharrats of the first group of vanguard of the Spanish postwar period "Dau al set".
In 1959 obtained the First painting Prize in the Biennial of Sao Paulo.
He has been distinguished with the Cross of Saint George, the Medal of Isabel the Catholic, and the Gold medal of the City of Barcelona .
